Golden Eagle has always been sensitive to environmental concerns.
Our Cangalli Gold Mine, in the heart of the Tipuani Gold District, qualified for all of its environmental permitting from the Bolivian Vice Ministry of the Environment and the Vice Ministry of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. To qualify, we had to contract with environmental engineering firms to carry out baseline studies on the flora and fauna of the area; ambient noise and air quality levels; and potential impacts to water and soil.
Golden Eagle is committed to recontouring any ground disturbed by our mining operations or waste impoundments. We do not use any chemicals in our Cangalli plant and recover the gold through environmentally friendly gravity concentration methods. We are also committed to returning any water used in processing 100 times cleaner then when removed from the river.
In our operation in eastern Bolivia’s Precambrian Shield, we will keep our environmental standards equally high.
We are committed to being good corporate citizens in Bolivia and in leaving the environment in as good, or better, condition than when we initiated our operations.
